At Sock Drawer Productions we believe that creativity should never be left in a drawer. That’s why we provide theatrical experiences for people of all ages and stages. Our mission is to take the stage to both traditional and unconventional venues in order to make the arts more accessible to everyone. Through stories, music, and dance, we aim to connect people, inspire them to think deeply, spark new ideas, evoke emotions, and bring laughter and joy to their lives.

About Cathy Butler-Weathersby
Cathy Butler-Weathersby is the owner and Producing Artistic Director of Sock Drawer Productions. She previously worked for a touring children’s theatre company as a performer, assistant director, music director, and Company Manager.
She has appeared in many local productions as well. Some of her favorite roles have been Amalia in “She Loves Me”; Marvalyn, Rhonda, Marci, and Sandrine in “Almost Maine”; Susan in [title of show]; Ado Annie in “Oklahoma!”; and Young Eva in “And Then They Came for Me”. She has enjoyed portraying various fuzzy animals such as a wolf, beaver, and a mouse.
In addition to performing, Cathy has taught music in schools and churches, music/theatre classes in Project Ahead at IUS, and been the music director for musical theater camps. She has a Master’s Degree in music, and Orff teacher’s certification.

We educate children on themes that matter to them, promote self esteem, empathy, kindness, and belonging. We inspire them to be great audiences and consumers of the arts, and to be future arts participants who will one day share their talents and creative expressions.
